About Us

Cancer Queers was started in 2023 by our founder, KB, as they ended treatment for breast cancer. After getting their diagnosis the year prior, they immediately sought queer resources for people with cancer. But, to their disappointment, they found very little. 

 

KB decided that they wanted to share their story. After their first chemo infusion, they started to create a zine. As KB started coming to the end of their treatment, they developed the idea for Cancer Queers to share more than just their own story.

 

Now, Cancer Queers is the resource KB never got to have. We hope to continue expanding to meet the needs of our community.
